Microarray Technologies

Microarray platforms available:

Our staff has been working and gaining expertise with microarray technologies since 1999. Currently our laboratory is equipped with instruments to perform experiments on both Affymetrix and Nimblegen microarray platforms.
The Facility routinely performs complete microarray experiments including quality controls, target synthesis, labeling, quality controls on labeled target, hybridization to array, image acquisition, data extraction, analysis and elaboration using both commercial and proprietary software.

Affymetrix

Today, we are equipped with two of the most up-to-date Affymetrix complete systems in order to guarantee the best performances.
Applications currently supported by our Facility include:

• Gene Expression (3', All Exon, Expression Tiling)
• Genotyping (SNPs e Copy Number Variations)
• ChIP Chip

Nimblegen

Our Facility is equipped with a Maui hybridization station and a GenePix 4000B scanner by Molecular Devices for processing of Nimblegen arrays.

• Gene Expression
• CGH
• ChIP Chip
