Samples submission

General information

Samples are accepted every day, however the processing will begin on Wednesdays. Analysis turn-around time: 1 week from the Wednesday samples are submitted.
We can provide

• various reagents needed to minimize the keratin contamination (loading buffer, gel solutions, etc.)
• pre-casted gels or assistance in the preparation of "free keratins gels" in our facility
• all colloidal coomassie reagents necessary to do the stain yourself

Please contact us if you need any of the above. We will not supply the buffers for silver staining.

We strongly encourage you to consult with us when planning your experiment.
First time users and anyone wanting to submit large numbers of samples at once (more than 15) are urged to contact the facility prior to sample submission: paolo.soffientiniifom-ieo-campus.it

Guidelines for Proteomics sample submission/prep

Currently, two kinds of biological sample identification performed at the Proteomics Facility:

• Protein ID - list of proteins contained in your gel or liquid samples
  
  
• Intact protein Molecular Weight - exact mass of a purified protein
  
  
• Additional Information on gels, mass spec, etc.
